![]() According to Tijuana Flats Executive Chef Joel Reynders, the name Smack Wings is a tongue-in-cheek nod to Tijuana Flats’ line of house-made hot sauces. The online brand was born from the growth of 3 rd party food delivery apps through the pandemic, coupled with the popularity of a new item on Tijuana Flats’ menu – jumbo chicken wings. ![]() Often called a “ghost kitchen,” Smack Wings has no physical restaurant location for guests to dine in. Now available in Winter Park and across the state, the delivery-only concept offers 10 flavors of jumbo chicken wings, along with appetizers, sides, desserts, and drinks exclusively through 3 rd party food delivery apps such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates, and Bite Squad. This location has become a terrible experience.Winter Park-founded Tex-Mex Original - Tijuana Flats - is stretching its wings (literally) with the launch of a new sister brand, Smack Wings. In the past I've gone to this location when they've been busy, very busy with lines almost out the door and I've got my food and better service than lately when they haven't been busy at all! This must be an excellent location to work in because employees just stand around and talk to each other ignoring the customers, stood there for more than 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. Since I've been going I've seen a lot of staff turn over and the new employees and managers don't seem to care at all. What kind of service is this - it's very disappointing that a location which started out to be so good has been this horrible. When I spoke with the manager he seemed unapologetic, told him I'd start going to another location and he said go ahead. ![]() Food takes 30-45 minutes to be ready when the location is not even close to being busy, when order finally received it's incorrect, items missing, food burnt. Been going to this location for a long time but I have to say lately the service at this location has been getting progressively worst. ![]()
